Trauma can leave you feeling stuck in familiar patterns and beliefs. Deep down, you seek freedom but have difficulty releasing the self-sabotaging behaviours and thought patterns you adopted for survival.  Your trauma leaves you stuck in a cycle of creating the exact environment you want to escape.  You feel trapped in your mind with your thoughts, memories and messages.  Your body reacts to triggers from past wounds as long as the issues remain unresolved. You may feel as though your mind and body are working against you.  In reality, they are actually trying to protect you.

It is difficult to change old patterns developed out of trauma on your own. Sometimes, a curious mind and a fresh perspective can guide you to Aim True and create a new path. As a Coach/Practitioner, I have training in Somatics, Breathwork, Nervous System Regulation, Mindfulness, Brain-Body connection, Energy Work, and Stress Release Practices. My own healing and educational journey allow me to meet you where you are in your path and integrate my knowledge to help you in your post-traumatic growth.

Trauma and self-sabotage often go together, dislodging you from your authenticity.  As a certified trauma-informed self-sabotage coach the objective is to connect you with the here and now by trusting in your core values and uncovering your true self.  I will support you in mastering situations that are causing difficulty. Somatic work is an integral part of our sessions, and we will work to uncover the innate wisdom that lies within you.  I believe that all clients are whole and don't require fixing.  Many have just disconnected from the wisdom within.  Through body and energy work, we will rediscover the knowing that is waiting to be seen, heard and felt. Together, we will unleash the power within you to overcome your limiting beliefs and identify toxic relationships and behaviours that are preventing you from being your best.

We will explore solutions and work towards attainable goals that will release you from old patterns.  Freedom from the grips of trauma and self-sabotage will allow your authentic self to shine bright.  As a coach, I believe that you have the strength not just to survive but to truly shine.

WHAT IS TRAUMA?

Trauma is defined as a deeply depressing or disturbing event.  We all respond differently to trauma.  Two people can experience the same event but have varying responses.  The way you react is unique to you, but the commonality is that trauma impacts your life and impedes growth and healing.

WHAT IS SELF SABOTAGE?

Self-Sabotage is when you get in the way of your own success.  There are many forms of self-sabotage such as addiction, procrastination, chronic worry, overeating, and unhealthy choices.  Many of the self- sabotaging behaviours are rooted in your subconscious mind.  Awareness is key to overcoming self sabotage.


WHAT IS BREATHWORK?

We all breathe daily but don't all breathe to our optimal potential.  Breathwork is making your breathing an intentional practice to improve your life. Trauma alters the way we breathe; our breath often becomes shallow and fast, or we hold our breath. Your breath is a powerful tool that is always with you and can be used to shift the state of your nervous system.


WHAT IS SOMATICS?

Soma is the Greek word for Body.  Trauma often disconnects us from the body, and Somatics is about befriending your inner wisdom.  Working with a Somatic Practitioner is a way to rebuild the connection to your authenticity and discover the innate wisdom within.

Breathwork

Trauma often disconnects us from our bodies and causes us to live in a constant sympathetic state ( fight or flight).  Breathwork is an amazing tool that helps to rebuild that connection and calms a dysregulated nervous system.  The best part is, it is a tool that is always with you.

As a certified breathwork coach, I can teach you the techniques that will calm your body and connect you to your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest state). Together we will bring conscious awareness to your breathing and cultivate practices that will help to lessen anxiety, improve sleep, calm your nervous system and deepen your mind - body connection. ABOUT ME

Trauma Informed Self-Sabotage Coach

Trauma and self-sabotage prevented me from living my best life for many years.  I was stuck living daily on auto pilot and became a people pleaser, putting the needs of others before my own.  As a result I became dislodged from my authentic self, I allowed my limiting beliefs to overpower me and I lost trust in the beautiful energy within my soul. 

​

The events of my childhood shaped the hurt and self-sabotaging adult I became. I kept burying my unresolved trauma and it eventually erupted.  It felt as if both my body and mind were working against me. (Read my blog for the full story) I know how it feels to bury your authentic self and become the person you think others want you to be. As a child my brother died tragically,  I learned early the fragility of life.  I navigated through my grief and took on the grief of my parents.  I am also a childhood sexual abuse survivor.  Throughout most of my life I carried a heavy shadow filled with shame and guilt.

Through my own healing journey I have learned how to overcome the self-sabotaging behaviours that held me back from living my best life. I am a mother, wife and elementary school teacher.  But I am also so much more, I am someone who lives life to it's fullest, feels deeply, trusts in my energy and soul to guide me, embraces my authenticity and fiercely faces the limiting beliefs that held me back for so long.

I specialize in helping people identify and achieve their personal goals by coping with the issues that are causing them stress and holding them back. Together we will uncover your authentic self and allow you to speak your truth.  In our sessions you will learn to listen and trust your body. This work will allow you to follow your intuition.
