Finding Happiness

Here's the thing, your happiness isn't lost. It's not something you have to go searching to find, because the key to your happiness is already within you. It does however require some work on your part. Your happiness is something you need to create, creating requires action. Below are some steps to add more joy to your life.


1) Adopt an Attitude of Gratitude


Create a happy mindset. The law of gratitude is that you attract what you give and the more you express gratitude the more that comes your way. Start being grateful for the small things in life. You'll soon find that when you truly appreciate the little things that you'll begin to find gratitude all around you. It has a ripple effect, your gratitude will have you feeling full of happiness, and spreading that joy to others around you.


2) Accept your Authentic Self


Learn to listen to your true self. The more you avoid being your authentic self the more unhappy you will be. When we resist our authenticity it lowers our frequency, you can raise your vibration by embracing your true self. Learn to listen to your body and your mind, determine what feels right for you. Start using your voice to express what fills your soul.


3) Surround yourself with happy people


We become the people with who we spend the most of our time. If you are surrounded by unhappy people that's what you'll become. If however your circle is full of laughter and joy you will experience the same.


4) Start saying NO


All too often we give up our happiness by saying yes to everyone and everything around us. Learn to say No. Use No as a complete sentence, you do not need to explain yourself. Saying Yes when you don't want to depletes your happy energy. Conserve that happiness by saying NO with confidence. Saying no to others often means saying yes to yourself.


5) Look internally not externally


When you rest your happiness on other people you are handing over your power. We can't control other people so allowing our happiness to ride on the wings of others is surrendering any power we have over creating joy. Look internally, ask yourself what makes me happy? How can I add more of that to my life? Reclaim your power to create your happiness.


6) Adopt a healthy lifestyle


The healthier your body, the healthier your mind will be. Eat healthy foods that will boost your energy not bring you down. Fill your plate with whole foods, fruits and vegetables, avoid processed foods or high sugar choices. You are what you eat, choose wisely. Exercise is not only good for the body but the mind as well. It will boost your energy and release endorphins that make you happy.


Your happiness is up to you. Create a happy life!
